Cain broken over sad news in new Emmerdale spoiler video as devastating death looms

One of Emmerdale’s saddest deaths ever is set to rock the Dingle family next week, and it leaves Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) broken in a new spoiler video.

Viewers will recall that there were fears for Monty the Dog after he was trapped in a burning barn last month.

Cain rushed him to the vet, where Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) revealed that he had suffered smoke inhalation.

Tragically, that wasn’t the only thing he found, and Monty has since been diagnosed with cancer.

In a new spoiler video, Cain tries to stay optimistic as he points out that Monty seems better.

However, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is on hand to play devil’s advocate, explaining that Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) had said that Monty’s tumour could spread and there’s nothing they can do.

Cain is immediately dismissive, suggesting that vets get things wrong, and it’s not like Monty can tell them how he’s feeling.

He then points out that when his cancer was diagnosed, the family refused to give up on him, and questions why they aren’t treating Monty the same way.

Viewers will remember that doctors found a mass after Cain was shot during the Corriedale crossover. After numerous tests, Cain was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

In true Cain style, he doesn’t want to hear Belle out, and chooses to storm out instead.

Devastatingly, Monty does manage to communicate his feelings with Cain later in the week, when Cain finds him sleeping on Zak’s grave.
