Who is the replacement nominee on ‘Big Brother’? Week 5 spoilers

Is “Big Brother” on tonight? No, but Monday’s Power of Veto ceremony on the live feeds helped shape Week 5.
Did Week 5 Power of Veto winner Kamu Kirk use the veto? And who is the replacement nominee on “Big Brother” this week?
HOH LaTrice “Lala” Verrett entered the ceremony with Haley Thogmartin, Chuk Anyanwu and Barrett Pfeiffer on the block. Monday’s meeting determined whether nominations would change ahead of Thursday’s live eviction.
Here’s what happened during the veto ceremony, whether a replacement nominee was named and who remains on the block heading into the BB Blockbuster competition.
Is ‘Big Brother’ on tonight?
No. The next “Big Brother” episode airs Wednesday on CBS. However, Monday’s Power of Veto ceremony has already determined whether the nominations changed ahead of Thursday’s live eviction. The POV ceremony and whether a replacement nominee was named played out on the “Big Brother” live feeds today.
Sunday’s episode of “Big Brother” ended with Haley Thogmartin, Chuk Anyanwu and Barrett Pfeiffer on the block.
Who won the Power of Veto on ‘Big Brother’?
Kamu Kirk won the Week 5 Power of Veto competition, giving him the power to remove one of Lala’s nominees from the block and force HOH LaTrice “Lala” Verrett to name a replacement nominee.
Did Kamu use the Power of Veto on ‘Big Brother’?
No. Despite winning the Week 5 Power of Veto competition, Kamu Kirk chose not to use the veto during Monday’s ceremony.
As a result, Haley Thogmartin, Chuk Anyanwu and Barrett Pfeiffer remain on the block.
After the ceremony, Kamu apologized to Chuk and described the decision as “impossible,” suggesting he struggled with choosing between Chuk and Haley despite ultimately leaving nominations unchanged.
Who is the replacement nominee on ‘Big Brother’?
There isn’t one.
Because Kamu Kirk chose not to use the Week 5 Power of Veto, HOH LaTrice “Lala” Verrett was not required to name a replacement nominee, and nominations remained unchanged.
Haley, Chuk and Barrett remain on the block heading into Thursday’s live eviction, with one securing a BB Blockbuster win to get off the block ahead of the live vote.
Who’s on the block after the ‘Big Brother’ veto ceremony?
Haley, Chuk and Barrett remain on the block following Monday’s Week 5 Power of Veto ceremony.
Because nominations stayed the same, one of the three houseguests will be evicted during Thursday’s live episode unless another twist changes the game.
Haley appears to remain HOH LaTrice “Lala” Verrett’s preferred target, though live-feed conversations suggest some houseguests have considered evicting Chuk instead.
Who is Lala targeting on ‘Big Brother’ this week?
Haley Thogmartin appears to remain Lala’s preferred target.
Throughout the week, Lala repeatedly discussed wanting Haley out of the game and previously described her as the “head of the snake.” Lala later told Chuk Anyanwu that Haley was a “firestarter” and indicated Chuk landed on the block largely because of his close relationship with her.
However, Kamu’s post-ceremony comments suggest the decision was not entirely straightforward. After declining to use the veto, he told Chuk he was sorry and described choosing between Chuk and Haley as an “impossible decision.”
Several houseguests have also discussed keeping Haley and voting out Chuk instead, leaving plenty of room for the vote to shift before Thursday’s eviction.

Is Haley going home on ‘Big Brother’? Haley vs Chuk vote update
Haley Thogmartin appears to remain the most likely houseguest to be evicted in Week 5.
Throughout the week, Lala repeatedly identified Haley as her preferred target, and Kamu’s decision not to use the Power of Veto left Haley, Chuk, and Barrett on the block.
However, the vote may not be settled. Following Monday’s veto ceremony, several houseguests discussed on the live feeds the possibility of keeping Haley and evicting Chuk instead, arguing Haley could still remain a major target moving forward.
As of now, Barrett appears to be in the safest position, leaving the Week 5 vote centered on Haley and Chuk. With several days remaining before Thursday’s live eviction, the house still has time to shift.
Could Drew have been the replacement nominee?
Before the veto ceremony, Lala indicated Drew Campbell would be her replacement nominee if Kamu Kirk used the Power of Veto. There were also discussions that Rick Devens was a possibility.
Drew acknowledged he was nervous heading into Monday’s meeting, but ultimately avoided the block when Kamu declined to use the veto.
When is the next ‘Big Brother’ eviction?
The next live eviction will air Thursday on CBS. It also streams on Paramount+.
Haley, Chuk and Barrett are the final nominees following Monday’s Power of Veto Ceremony.
