‘Big Brother 28’ Fans Divided Over Who Should Win 5th Time Capsule Vote (SPOILERS)

THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT BIG BROTHER 28!The fifth Big Brother 28 BB Time Capsule vote is underway, and fans are divided about who should win America’s Vote for the chance to win a power or to receive a punishment. Beginning in week 2, and lasting six weeks, the BB Time Capsule allows America to vote for a houseguest to play a fast-paced game of hitting a buzzer while sitting in a spinning chair in order to win one of six prizes or six punishments from Big Brother’s past. Each houseguest may only enter the BB Time Capsule once.
So far, Big Brother 28 fans have voted Angela Murray, Rick Devens, Dee Valladares, and Mallory Aurichio into the BB Time Capsule. Angela received the Hard-Boiled Detective punishment, during which she had to wear Big Brother 27 runner-up Vince Panaro’s egg costume for a week, while Mallory ended up with the Adam & Eve punishment, and was tethered to a houseguest of her choice, Melody Morris, for 48 hours while wearing fig leaf costumes.
Devens won the Diamond Power of Veto, which allows him to save someone from the chopping block and name the replacement nominee himself, instead of the Head of Household (HOH), while Dee won the BB Bribe, in which she can offer $5,000 to a houseguest to do something for her in the game. Devens’ power lasts for six weeks from when he won it in week 3, while Dee’s is good for the whole season.
Big Brother 28 Fans Are Divided About Who Should Win The 5th BB Time Capsule Vote
This week, nine Big Brother 28 houseguests are eligible for the fifth BB Time Capsule vote: Barrett Pfeiffer, Chuk Anyanwu, Drew Campbell, Haley Thogmartin, Kamu Kirk, LaTrice Verrett, Melody Morris, Taylor Brown, and Yash Patel. In a Big BrotherReddit thread about the vote, fans were divided about who should win, but most of them wanted either Drew, Melody, or Taylor to have the chance to win a power.
Drew fans thought that he’d have the most fun with a power, and would use it to stir things up in the house. One supporter wrote, “I say Drew. He’d definitely use a power if he gets one. Melody would ‘save it’ and then end up getting booted without ever using it.” Someone else stated, “Drew will absolutely do shenanigans. Barrett too maybe. Plus both would be funny if they had a punishment. I don’t know if Melody would. I like her but I think she may be playing too timidly.”
A different Drew fan said, “I voted Drew!! It would be more intriguing to see what he would do with the power over Melody tbh.” Someone else said, “Drew would make sure Kamu is on the block, so I’m voting for him.” Another person pointed out, “Also, a win for Drew is a win for Melody cause they’re closely working together.”
Melody fans feel that it’s her turn to have an advantage in the game after weeks of either being on the chopping block, or watching her allies get evicted. One fan wrote, “Melody of course. It’s her time.” Another thought that Melody needed a chance to win a power more than someone like Drew, saying, “Melody needs something cuz Drew is more likely to win a regular comp than her.”
Another fan wanted to vote for Melody because “ANYTHING TO HELP Mallory.” Someone else said, “One of the reasons I want Melody to get it is I think she’s one of the last people the house would expect to get it. Therefore there’s a guaranteed impact on her and anyone who finds out, even if it’s an underwhelming power or a punishment.” A different person wrote, “Hopefully Melody gets it. Drew would just use a power to benefit the vets.” Someone else stated, “I’m voting Melody. She’s anti Kamu unlike Taylor and more anti Icon than Drew.”
Fans of Taylor wanted to see her go into the BB Time Capsule because she’d be the most likely to target the icons—Angela, Devens, and Dee–and they want to stop their steamroll of the game. One fan stated, “I’m voting for Taylor because she is ready to take shots at the vets. Although I love Dee and Devens from Survivor, we need to give power to people who are willing and able to take big shots.” Another said, “Taylor because she is actually playing the game and wants to win.”
Another Taylor fan wrote, “Taylor isn’t afraid to shake things up,” while someone else noted, “She wants to change the status quo. The others will keep the game relatively the same.”
Other Big Brother 28 houseguests who had some fan support in the BB Time Capsule vote were Barrett, Yash, LaTrice, and Kamu, but Drew, Melody, and Taylor were the overwhelming favorites. No one said that they voted for Haley or Chuk, although one fan joked that it would be funny to see Chuk in the red unitard as a punishment.
Which Big Brother 28 BB Time Capsule Powers & Punishments Are Left?
There are four Big Brother 28 BB Time Capsule powers and four punishments left. Whoever enters the Time Capsule next has the chance to win one of the four remaining powers: Replay (allows the HOH to play in back-to-back HOH competitions), Mystery Competitor, (someone helps the houseguest to win a competition), Coin of Destiny (allows the houseguest to overthrow the HOH if they guess right on a coin flip), and Never-Not Pass (makes the houseguest exempt from being a Have-Not all season).
However, the BB Time Capsule winner also has the possibility of receiving one of the four remaining punishments: Lord of the Latrine (houseguest must announce whenever contestants use the bathroom), Hamazon (houseguest must eat a lot of ham), Camp Guide (houseguest must repeatedly build a camp and take it down), and Red Unitard (houseguest must wear the iconic red unitard from past seasons).
Although anything is possible, based on the Big Brother Reddit thread, it seems that either Drew, Melody, or Taylor will be the fifth houseguest to enter the BB Time Capsule. Fans were excited to see someone other than the icons win last week, but Mallory unfortunately received a punishment. Hopefully, this week, whoever enters will receive a power that they can use to turn the Big Brother 28 house on its head.
