Emmerdale’s Joe springs trap on Dawn which could end her bid to escape

Blushing bride Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) is about to fall into a trap set by Emmerdale supervillain Joe Tate (Ned Porteous). Or as he calls it… a wedding.

Like a lot of newlyweds, Dawn is looking forward to her big day.

Unlike a lot of newlyweds, she’s planning to flee with her true love Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) to another country and take her jilted hubby’s unborn baby with her.

Which would all be fine and dandy if Joe wasn’t heavily implicated in the violent assault on Billy in the factory.

Even Billy is convinced Joedunnit.

And thanks to a bedside conversation with her ex, so is Dawn.

When Billy was rushed to hospital after the brutal assault, it didn’t exactly take Sherlock Holmes to suspect Joe Tate. Which is just as well, because Emmerdale had DS Byrne, who quickly slapped the cuffs on our boy. slapped the cuffs on the trust fund nepo-baby of Home Farm.

Probably just as well, seeing asCaleb Miligan (William Ash) and Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) knew that that Joe had discovered Billy tried to lock lips with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley).

Unfortunately, Teflon Joe seemed to get off scott free, because there was no evidence to prove that he put Billy in a coma. That’sdown to Caleb’s conniving missus  Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly), who wiped the CCTV to make sure Joe goes down for the assault.

In a heartfelt bedside conversation last week, Dawn finally accepted that Joe is who he is – i.e, the actual Devil. He was never going to change, and she could never escape.

But Billy offered her an escape.

He proposed that they run away together and start afresh in another country, leaving Joe Tate in the dust.

Will Billy and Dawn escape? (Picture: ITV)

Upcoming episodes of Emmerdale will show just how badly they’ve both underestimated Joe.

As Joe leaves for his stag do, he’s unaware that Billy and Dawn are planning to flee with fake passports.

While they tell Clemmie (Mabel Addison) they’re going on holiday, they are intercepted by Graham (Andrew Scarborough) and brought to a field where Joe has replaced his stag do with a surprise “sten do” for everyone.

Paranoia grips Billy and Dawn as the group prepares for a clay pigeon shoot.

But her aim drifts toward Joe, leaving Billy terrified as he realises what she might be capable of…
