And with Abigail Deveraux’s mysterious disappearance from her own grave still hanging over Salem, fans cannot help but wonder whether Rolf’s next experiment could involve one of the town’s most beloved daughters.

Rolf recently returned to offer his condolences to EJ DiMera following the tragic failure of the latest resurrection attempt. The Versavix serum experiment was supposed to accomplish the impossible, but Lexie Carver’s body could not withstand the procedure. The complications became too severe, and Lexie was ultimately lost once again.

Rolf now claims that the experiment has finally convinced him to walk away from resurrection science. He supposedly wants nothing more to do with playing God. According to him, the laboratory doors are closing, the formulas are being abandoned, and his Frankenstein-like experiments are finished.
