7 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight as Vanessa discovers Dr Todd truth

In tonight’s Emmerdale, the ongoing investigation into Dr Todd’s crimes leads Vanessa Woodfield to an upsetting discovery.

Meanwhile, newcomer Serena Sugden remains under suspicion – is Aaron Dingle right to be wary of her?

1. Vanessa receives a surprising visitor

Vanessa is taken aback when DS Reid comes to see her, asking questions about her recent relationship with Dr Todd and why it ended so suddenly.

Although Vanessa doesn’t have any relevant information to share, she’s shocked when DS Reid explains that a serious allegation has been made against Dr Todd.

2. Charity is left unsettled

Shortly afterwards, Vanessa speaks to Jacob, Sarah and Charity about the strange visit. Although Jacob wonders whether there have been more bullying accusations against Todd, perceptive Sarah points out that DS Reid’s wording would point to a possible sexual assault.

Not wanting Sarah to find out any more details, Charity abruptly dismisses the speculation and warns her granddaughter not to throw around serious accusations.

3. Vanessa discovers the truth

Vanessa notices Charity’s unusual reaction and pays her ex-fiancée a visit.

Having realised what’s going on, Vanessa encourages Charity to confide in her about Dr Todd’s horrendous crime.

4. Noah considers his future

Noah is irritated when he sees Jacob and Sarah seeming so loved-up together.

He later admits to Sarah that he feels like he’s drifting, with so many others around him settling down. Sarah shares some advice and even Ross wades in – has Noah’s exit plot begun?

5. Mack and Ross’s battles continue

Mack provokes another row with Ross at The Woolpack, unable to forgive him for his betrayal.

Charity and Chas both despair over the ongoing tensions, while Sarah and Noah are both very confused about what’s going on…

6. Aaron refuses to trust Serena

There’s another calamity at the farm when Robert is knocked unconscious by a runaway trailer.

Serena is nearby and calls Aaron to raise the alarm, but he immediately wonders whether it’s really a coincidence that she was at the scene. Surely history isn’t repeating itself? Or is Serena repeating John’s twisted games?

7. Jimmy shirks his responsibilities

Nicola has Jimmy hard at work at the café, although he questions why he’s even needed now that Kev is on duty.

Jimmy soon skives off work to enjoy a day of golf with Manpreet, but will Nicola find out?
