Vengeful Caleb takes step to get rid of Emmerdale couple in double exit
This article contains spoilers for tonight’s (Tuesday, August 11) Emmerdale, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on YouTube and ITVX.
If there is one person Caleb Miligan (William Ash) can’t stand, it’s Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), so when the opportunity arises to get one over on him, Caleb is going to snatch it up every single time.

Caleb is still understandably bitter that Joe stole his kidney, and the fact that he has caught wind of Caleb’s latest dodgy business practices is just another grievance to add to the list.
So, when given the perfect chance to completely ruin his life in tonight’s episode, Caleb jumped at it.
Viewers will know that Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) was recently hospitalised after a brutal attack, with Caleb taking the opportunity to convince him that Joe was behind it.
After all, he had the perfect motive, having learnt about the kiss Billy and fiancé Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) had shared.

In tonight’s episode, the true attacker was revealed, and though you’ll have to tune in to find out exactly who it is, it seems that Joe is still set to pay the price for crossing Caleb.
Caleb could barely hide his frustration when Billy admitted that he’d told the police that he couldn’t remember who had attacked him, meaning Joe was off the hook for the assault.
Pointing out that Joe was unlikely to face serious legal consequences for the attack, Billy and Dawn revealed their plan to lull him into a false sense of security, before destroying his life.

However, they would need Caleb’s help.
While Joe’s guard was down, they’d take the kids and run, starting a new life under new names.
As Caleb explained the plan to Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) – how Dawn and Billy needed his help to obtain new identities, contacts and cash to run away with the kids – she also saw the benefit of helping them.
