Salem is once again heading toward an emotional explosion, and the latest Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Brady Black and Sarah Horton may be moving much faster than anyone expected. Over the next couple of weeks, their relationship is set to become significantly more serious, with the pair reportedly reaching the point where those three dangerous little words — “I love you” — finally enter the picture.

For Brady, this could feel like the beginning of everything he has always wanted. He is excited by how naturally things seem to be developing with Sarah, and instead of simply enjoying the relationship one day at a time, Brady appears to be looking far into the future. Sarah represents everything Brady thinks he needs right now.

She represents peace.

And perhaps most importantly, she represents the possibility of giving Rachel the secure family life he desperately wants for his daughter.

Kristen certainly isn’t the type of person who will quietly accept Sarah stepping into her daughter’s life.

So imagine what happens if Kristen returns and discovers an engagement ring on Sarah’s finger.

That could instantly transform Brady’s romantic dream into a nightmare.

And then there is Sarah herself.

While Sarah may genuinely care about Brady and could even believe that she is falling in love with him, there is another problem she has yet to completely resolve — Xander Cook.

Sarah and Xander’s relationship has always been complicated, but one thing was never truly missing between them: love.

Philip Kiriakis has already complicated matters by playing matchmaker in his own outrageous way. The recent situation that trapped Sarah and Xander together in the Kiriakis wine cellar was practically designed to bring buried emotions back to the surface.

Put Sarah and Xander in a confined space, surround them with years of history, and expect those feelings to magically disappear? That was never going to happen.

Sarah may be trying desperately to convince herself that Brady is the better choice, but Xander still has an emotional hold over her.
