Emmerdale’s Charity grows suspicious amid Serena and Thea secret

Emmerdale‘s Charity Dingle has become even more suspicious of Serena Sugden, who viewers know is secretly in cahoots with DS Thea Ramsden and has a plot to take down the Tates. Tonight’s episode opened with Thea being shown the door by Graham Foster after being caught snooping around at Home Farm.

Back in the village, Thea pulled up outside The Woolpack to talk to Serena about Graham. While Thea was confident about their plan, noting that “the bigger they are, the harder they fall”, Serena wasn’t so sure.

“Why do you always have to push things too far? I’ve got family here, I don’t want you spoiling that for me,” she said.

Although she didn’t hear what they were saying, she saw the two having a conversation through the pub window and grew extremely suspicious.

In the pub garden, Charity brought up that she saw Serena talking to the copper earlier. Serena tried to pass it off by claiming she was double checking a statement she had previously provided and it wasn’t anything to stress about it.

“After everything we’ve been through together, you can trust me,” she insisted.

While that was enough to get Charity to back off for now, it’s unlikely she’s going to drop it completely.

When asked if Serena could find herself divided between Charity and Thea, Serena actor Casey Al-Shaqsy recently said: “I think she sees them separately. She doesn’t feel divided loyalties because they’re very different relationships.

“Serena cares about Charity and it’s a new friendship between them. She cares about people who enter her life.”

She continued: “With Thea, they have a history together where they’re very close. But Serena never sees the two together. She never thinks ‘if I do this, then that means this’. She feels bad about not telling the whole truth because she’s already done that a lot before this! But it’s a separate situation, separate relationships and she cares about them both.”
