Law Roach ‘Never Had a Wishlist’ of Celebrity Clients— Except This One Music Legend (Exclusive)

Image architect Law Roach boasts a star-studded lineup of glamorous clients.

Even with his expansive list of celebrities he styles, Roach, 47, tells PEOPLE there is one he wishes he had a chance to collaborate with.

“I really believe the universe puts people in my life and vice versa exactly at the moment they’re supposed to be, so I’ve never had a wishlist of people I wanted to dress,” he explains.

However, there is one notable exception to his theory. “The only person I would’ve loved to dress that is no longer with us is Prince.”

The legendary musician was known for his iconic, colorful style, often featuring striking pieces like high heels, lace gloves, tassels, feathers and sequins.

Reflecting on the nature of his industry, Roach notes that the grind never truly stops. “It’s relatively easy to become successful if you work hard, treat people right, and do what your parents taught you. The hard part is remaining successful.”

Looking back on his expansive portfolio, Roach identifies a few projects that stand out as definitive career highlights. Zendaya, his most notable and long-time client, made headlines in a dramatic Mugler robot suit for the London premiere of Dune 2 in 2024. The actress told Vogue the suit “fit like a glove,” calling the moment “meant to be.”

Another unforgettable collaboration involved music legend Céline Dion. Roach styled the “ultimate diva” in a striking, cloud-like gown by Stephane Rolland Haute Couture for a performance of “My Heart Will Go On.”

“I’ve never seen so many grown men cry,” Roach says of the emotional reaction to the look.

Lastly, he admits that one of his most special creations was a wedding dress for Zendaya — though he adds a heartbreaking tease: “No one will ever see it.”

Roach admitted at the 2026 Actor Awards in March that Zendaya, 29, and Tom Holland, 30, secretly tied the knot. Fans quickly began generating fake wedding photos that were widely circulated online.

He finally shared his thoughts on the AI-generated wedding looks while discussing his return as a Project Runway judge during his appearance on Good Morning America on June 29.

“That dress was not good enough,” Roach said of his reaction to Zendaya’s AI wedding dress. “Trust me, the dress is better than that.”

Beyond the red carpet, Roach is back for the 22nd season of Project Runway, alongside host Heidi Klum and judges Nina Garcia and Tyra Banks,

The 22nd season will host 22 contestants.

“There’s a lot of drama, which makes the show great,” he explains. “I also think there’s a dynamic and a bit of drama between the judges. I like to push everyone’s buttons.”

When asked about his reputation in the industry, Roach fully embraces his title as the “fashion daddy,” but with a playful twist. “I’m fashion mommy. I’m the mother,” he jokes.
