Big Brother 28: Time Capsule Vote Round 1

Here we go with the first fan-vote twist of the Big Brother 28 season. It’s the “BB Time Capsule” and here’s how it works, or at least what CBS is telling us so far.

Each week the Time Capsule vote opens up to viewers to vote and award one Houseguest per round the chance at a competition where they might win a power or a punishment. Wait, they can “win” a punishment? Anyway, it’s a punishment from Big Brother’s past, so look for iconic things like the unitard or tethered for a few days, or maybe the backyard tasks of completing X rounds of something within Y hours.

Once one of the HGs gets voted for that week then he or she is out of the running for all the future rounds of this Time Capsule twist, so you’re going to want to think carefully about the timing. Except if it’s a punishment then there’s never a good time. And even more odd is that there is a set number of the good and bad. If it’s random, though I guess it must not be, then if the first 5 rounds are “good” rewards the rest of the 7 HGs competing would only have 1 “good” item to get and once that’s up would everyone just automatically try to lose to avoid the punishment? I’m probably asking too many questions, right?

You can vote at CBS’s website here with 5 votes per day plus the chance to add more votes each day and that window will run through Friday morning, so take note if you’re voting for someone on the Block. The winner of this first round won’t get the Time Capsule until after the upcoming eviction. Voting closes Friday and then that afternoon, I’d expect this before the Noms, the winning HG will be whipped away for their off-site competition in the “Big Brother basement” location.
