Unfortunately, he has no idea that Caleb and Ruby are already working against him.

The pair decide that Kev is the perfect person to use as their fall guy. They approach him with what sounds like an opportunity to make serious money. Kev is persuaded to steal one of Jimmy’s vans, with Ruby claiming that the vehicle is carrying a highly valuable shipment.

Kev reluctantly agrees, believing that this could be one final criminal job before he completely walks away from his old life. But the situation quickly becomes an embarrassing disaster when he discovers exactly what he has been sent to steal.

Instead of a valuable haul, the van is carrying around 3,000 nappies.

Kev is furious when he realizes that Ruby has deliberately misled him. What he thought would be a profitable robbery has instead caused enormous problems for Jimmy’s company. Home James is suddenly facing an even bigger financial crisis, putting Jimmy in an increasingly desperate position.

And that is exactly what Caleb wanted.

But Kev is not someone who can be manipulated forever.

Away from the village drama, Emmerdale star Katie Hill recently found herself dealing with a painful real-life accident while renovating her home. The actress, who plays Sarah Sugden, revealed that she had to visit A&E after accidentally stepping on a nail.

The 23-year-old actress later joked about the unfortunate incident on social media, even asking whether a nail technician in Leeds might be able to fit her in after she had been forced to cancel her original appointment because of the accident.

Fortunately, Katie later reassured fans that everything had been dealt with and thanked those who had sent supportive messages.

Katie has played Sarah since 2017, taking over the role from Sophia Amber Moore. Since then, Sarah has been involved in several major storylines, including her battle with Fanconi anaemia, her bone marrow transplant and her involvement with a dangerous drug dealer. Sarah later became the adoptive mother of Frankie, while Charity remains her biological family connection.

There is also exciting news away from Emmerdale for Lawrence Rob, who plays McKenzie Boyd. The actor has been confirmed as part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing lineup, describing the opportunity as a dream come true.

Although some viewers questioned his previous dance training, there is no Strictly rule preventing celebrities with performance experience from competing. Lawrence himself has admitted that he will need plenty of advice before stepping onto the ballroom floor.
