Shocking Spoilers for Monday & Tuesday EJ DiMera Falls Into ISA Spy Trap, John Oliver Unleashes Hell
The next two days are shaping up to be absolutely explosive, with secrets, betrayals, heartbreaking family drama, and dangerous schemes colliding all at once. Monday, August 10, and Tuesday, August 11, promise to push several characters to their emotional limits, while EJ DiMera finds himself surrounded by people who may be much closer to exposing him than he realizes.
Before diving into the newest spoilers, it is worth remembering just how disastrous the previous week was. EJ’s carefully constructed cover-up surrounding the tainted Corazal pills has begun falling apart after Holly Jonas finally realized that he was responsible for planting the evidence against her. Holly’s anger toward EJ was impossible to miss, and her discovery has placed even more pressure on the DiMera family.

At the same time, Kristen DiMera managed to escape during EJ’s kidnapping transport, leaving Lexi Carver behind in a shocking turn of events. Kristen then took her deception even further by disguising herself as Susan Banks in an attempt to manipulate Ray. Meanwhile, Leo Stark and Gwen Rizczech remain trapped in Alamainia with Dimitri, while Lexi’s attempted cure has failed, leaving her once again facing a devastating fate.
With Salem already drowning in secrets, Monday begins with Stephanie Johnson making a heartbreaking decision.
Stephanie has reached the point where she can no longer pretend that everything is fine in her marriage to Alex Kiriakis. The latest crisis involving Joy Wesley has pushed their relationship to breaking point. After Joy’s recent car accident and the serious problems she is now facing, Alex becomes determined to stand by his daughter.
Stephanie, however, believes there has to be a limit.
She wants Alex to recognize that his constant involvement with Joy is destroying their marriage. She desperately tries to make him understand that being a father does not mean allowing another relationship to consume everything they have built together. But Alex refuses to see the situation from Stephanie’s perspective.
Instead, he chooses his daughter.
For Alex, this decision is tied to his own painful history and his feelings surrounding abandonment. He believes he has to be there for Joy, regardless of the consequences. Unfortunately, that leaves Stephanie feeling completely abandoned herself.
Realizing that her marriage may effectively be over, Stephanie prepares to walk away. It is a devastating moment because she has already endured so much, including the trauma surrounding Owen Kent’s kidnapping. Her unresolved PTSD has continued to affect her judgment and her ability to feel safe.
Now she is losing the person she believed would stand beside her.
Stephanie eventually turns to Jada Hunter for comfort. She heads over to Jada’s apartment, desperately needing someone who will simply listen. Jada immediately becomes the friend Stephanie needs, putting her own investigations aside long enough to support her.
Jada has plenty of problems of her own. She is still trying to uncover the truth surrounding Kristen’s disappearance and Lexi’s departure from town. Yet Stephanie’s emotional state makes it impossible for Jada to ignore her.
This could become one of Monday’s most emotional scenes.
Stephanie believed Alex was her future. Now she is forced to question whether their marriage can survive the damage caused by Joy’s situation.
Elsewhere, Chanel Dupree and Alex cross paths in Horton Town Square while spending time with their babies. At first, their conversation seems completely harmless. The two parents share a friendly moment, but Chanel soon realizes that Alex desperately needs a reality check.
Chanel does not hesitate to tell him what she thinks.
She believes Alex is making a serious mistake by allowing his relationship with Joy to interfere so deeply with his marriage. Chanel understands complicated relationships, and she recognizes that Alex’s desire to rescue everyone around him could ultimately cost him Stephanie.
Her warning is simple: Alex needs boundaries.
But Alex may not be ready to listen.
His intentions might be good, but his determination to be the perfect father is preventing him from seeing how much damage he is causing. Chanel can see the manipulation and emotional pressure surrounding the situation, but Alex remains convinced that he is simply doing what any responsible father should do.
The irony is that Chanel has her own enormous battle to deal with, including her fight against breast cancer. She does not have the energy to keep convincing Alex to make the right decision.
Then comes one of the biggest developments involving EJ.
Cat Green is quietly playing a dangerous game, and EJ has no idea how close she may be to exposing him.

Cat is secretly working with the ISA and Rafe Hernandez, gathering information that could eventually bring EJ down. On Monday, she begins questioning EJ more aggressively. She knows he is under tremendous pressure because of the hospital situation, the tainted medication scandal, and everything surrounding Lexi.
That vulnerability could be exactly what Cat needs.
She carefully asks questions designed to make EJ reveal something he should not. Cat cannot afford to rush the operation, because EJ is still extremely intelligent and suspicious by nature. One wrong move could expose her true identity.
If EJ discovers that Cat is actually working against him, the consequences could be disastrous.
Cat therefore has to maintain the illusion that she is on EJ’s side while secretly collecting enough evidence to destroy him.
Meanwhile, the Carver family continues to struggle with unimaginable grief.
Lani Price Grant returns to town and finds Theo Carver devastated over what is happening to his mother. Lexi had seemingly been given another chance at life, but the treatment is failing. Now Theo must confront the possibility that he could lose his mother all over again.
Lani does everything she can to comfort her brother.
The emotional weight of the situation is enormous. Abe Carver believed he was finally getting his wife back, only to discover that their happiness may be painfully temporary. Theo, meanwhile, is forced to deal with the possibility of another devastating loss.
It is a heartbreaking family moment, particularly because Theo desperately needs stability in his life.
And while all of this is happening, Johnny DiMera is carrying a secret that could eventually shake the entire family.
Johnny has been investigating what happened with the tainted Corazal pills. He knows about the evidence connected to Smith Island, and he knows that EJ was responsible for framing Holly.
But Johnny has not exposed his father.
Why?
Perhaps he is trying to protect EJ. Perhaps he is terrified of destroying the DiMera family. Or maybe Johnny is waiting for the right opportunity to reveal everything without causing even more devastation.
Whatever the reason, keeping this information hidden is clearly weighing heavily on him.
Then Tuesday arrives, bringing another dangerous mystery.
Belle Black approaches Marlena with new information concerning Stefano DiMera’s chess set. Belle and Chad have become increasingly determined to understand the meaning behind the strange clues connected to Stefano’s old game.
The missing pawn has become particularly important.
Belle believes Stefano may have left behind some kind of hidden message or trap. The idea is terrifying because Stefano was famous for manipulating people from beyond the grave, and his obsession with John Black being one of his “pawns” makes the chess symbolism even more disturbing.
Marlena does not want to become consumed by another Stefano mystery, especially while dealing with everything happening around John and the people they have lost.
Belle, however, refuses to stop.
She believes the clues mean something, and she wants answers before someone else gets hurt.

At the same time, Theo makes a heartbreaking decision concerning Lexi.
He chooses not to tell Abe just how serious his mother’s condition has become.
Theo knows Lexi is getting worse, but he decides to keep the truth from his father for a little longer. Perhaps Lexi has asked him to protect Abe from the pain. Perhaps Theo simply cannot bear to destroy the happiness Abe is experiencing.
But hiding the truth creates an enormous burden.
Abe believes he may finally have his wife back. Theo knows that the clock could be running out.
Every smile from Abe makes Theo’s guilt even worse.
Meanwhile, Leo Stark refuses to surrender quietly while being held captive by Dimitri.
On Tuesday, Leo makes Dimitri an offer.
True to form, Leo immediately begins looking for an angle. Rather than simply waiting for rescue, he tries to negotiate his way out. He could offer money, information, or even assistance with one of Dimitri’s own enemies.
Leo is desperate to return to Salem and reunite with Javi, so he may be willing to promise almost anything.
The problem is that making a deal with Dimitri could put Gwen in even greater danger.
And then comes the arrival of John Oliver, whose mysterious role promises to add another layer of chaos to an already unstable situation.
His involvement with EJ is particularly intriguing. With EJ’s world collapsing around him and multiple people secretly working against him, John Oliver’s arrival could create an entirely new threat.
Finally, Chad turns to Cat Green with a request.
Their history is already complicated because of Cat’s deception involving Abigail. Yet Chad is willing to put his personal feelings aside because he needs information.
He knows Cat is intelligent, resourceful, and increasingly close to EJ.
That makes asking her for help both useful and extremely dangerous.
Chad could be looking for assistance with EJ’s finances, the DiMera investigation, or even the mystery surrounding Stefano’s chess set. Whatever he wants, involving Cat could place him directly in the middle of a much bigger game.
And the most dangerous part?
Chad has no idea that Cat is secretly working as an ISA operative.
With EJ already surrounded by enemies, Cat getting closer to the truth, Johnny hiding damaging information, and a mysterious new player entering the picture, Tuesday could leave Salem on the verge of complete chaos.
The real question now is whether EJ will realize that the trap is closing before it is too late.
Because once Cat gets the evidence she needs, there may be no way for EJ to escape the consequences of his own secrets.
